Darth Vader Marathon?

Towards the end of this interview, @DeepakChopra makes a claim that one could run a marathon using Ujay breath (pranayama for those who do yoga) without raising one’s heart rate.   Hmmmm…..

I’ve tried to run a few blocks enlisting this technique (constricting the throat and breathing through the nose.  As he says in the interview, “if you’re doing it right you’ll sound just like Darth Vader”) and became quickly out of breath.  Which is a sure sign you’re heart beat is elevated.  I’m guessing the only way to pull it off would be to run at a snail’s pace.
